BFSI Business Challenge
A major bank embarked on a mission to revolutionize the banking industry by providing personalized, digital customer experiences grounded in open banking principles. To facilitate this strategic shift, the bank opted to transition to a container and microservices-based application infrastructure. Microsoft Azure Red Hat OpenShift, a jointly managed solution, played a pivotal role in enabling the bank to embrace a hybrid environment for both existing and new applications. Through the implementation of continuous integration and continuous delivery (CI/CD) and DevOps methodologies, the bank has successfully increased the adoption of its digital services, shortened the time required to bring applications to market, and enhanced partner integration via open banking application programming interfaces (APIs).
Our Technology Solution
In order to realize these objectives, the bank executed the deployment of Microsoft Azure Red Hat OpenShift in its production environment and initiated the migration of its applications to this on-premise setup, reimagined as microservices. To bolster security for its microservices, the bank harnessed Red Hat's single sign-on (SSO) technology, seamlessly integrating it with the existing Azure Active Directory servers to validate user credentials and retrieve identity-related information. Furthermore, the bank harnessed its container environment and leveraged React.js, an open-source JavaScript user interface library, to craft and deploy low-code front-end applications, including its highly-regarded smartphone app.
